She worked in a shop, and hopes that she won't be gone so long they fire her.

Oh, I forgot to put Dred's age. He's roughly 21-23 years old. He doesn't remember exactly. He knows bits and pieces of necromancy but not enough to get it to work right. Maybe I should have put that little blurb in the background.
Also, other characters could help Skye out. Teach her the way of things and such.

Eh, I'm still iffy on the necromancy thing, that's kinda an all or nothing type of magic in most things isn't it? You either can make zombies or you can't make zombies you know. You can't really kinda make zombies. "Beware my Maybe Zombie!" That's silly. =P
Okay, should be fine then Axle. Though I suspect Genesis is right, the other characters will show you the ropes early on.
Minntwin, I'd say that's really probably not a good idea. I'd say stick with humanoid races, especially ones that are close enough to be mistaken as human. Centaur really wouldn't work, because what happens if the party has to enter a small tunnel to chase the baddie? You wouldn't be able to crawl into the tunnel. Centaurs even pose a problem going in and out of standard buildings due to size and people not wanting a horse thingy in their living room.
Ruger, yes you should. *gets out bowl of enticing candy*

Necromancy isn't just reanimating the dead. It's communicating with them as well (spirits and souls that haven't moved on yet that is). The latter of the two is what I meant by necromancy. Experience and practice can determine the length of the 'conversation'. Commanding them is the hard part, which only very experienced can do. Just to clarify. Maybe something for him to practice occasionally.

Can I be an elemental, like the chick from the Chronicles of Ridthingy?
tThey are humanoid, but seem to be composed of nothing but air in the rrescence of wind
Elementals are a logical race, deciding their actions on complex calculations rather than on personal opinions or emotion. They are largely a neutral people, apparently unwilling to participate in the conflicts that they view as beneath them, but take action when their calculations show that their intervention is necessary.

I don't know Minntwin, see you gotta know that I'm not going to run a "kick in the door" campaign as it is sometimes called. (Meaning I make you an area and you club your way through baddies). I like to run a mixed campaign which means there's going to be sneaking around finding out information, playing politics, and interacting with civilians. People will be less likely to talk to you if your just slightly different, but they'll run terrified if you're made out of wind or fire, and a story that happens partly in human cities that doesn't work too well. I tend to think its more fun to start with a fairly weak character who becomes much better, as apposed to a character with some power.
Genesis... eh... a'right I think that's workable. I think there are things you could learn from that which would significantly reduce the plot, and take away some interest. (If I have a random mystery for you to solve about a murder and you summon the spirit of the dead guy that could circumvent the entire maze leading to a conspiracy I have planned, and you just kill the one guy and go home) However I also see that as possibly useful just as something he's trying to learn and he doesn't fully understand what the spirits are saying yet/maybe I could use it to get you a starting clue type thing. In general I'd say, if I've got a problem for you it means I already have a picture of what the solution is, don't go making up solutions.

Okay. I'm hoping the third time's the charm.
What about an amnesic assassin? (No, not like Jason Bourne.)
Im thinking he would use a bow and dual daggers. He is still discovering what he can do and searching to find out who he is. For his nationality, he would be well, he wouldn't know his nationality or his ancenstry.

You still might want to kinda have a general picture of who he is beforehand, but that's a workable one. I really hope you don't mean Antegrade amnesia (failure to lay down new memories) because that would make him difficult to play effectively. I see no really big reason you couldn't.

Trust you to bring up some fancy name for amnesia when the rest of us would just think he's forgotten his past, Oracle. Lol.

That might be kind of funny. He doesn't know who he is, Skye doesn't know where she is. Hopefully someone's got some idea what's going on.
