I got this from the description of a two-week writing camp I was considering going to (I'm not going - it's way too expensive):
"You know you're a writer because you write even when it's not an assignment for school, because you read insatiably and aspire to write books as amazing as the ones that make you do that reading/walking shuffle to dinner, because hours slip by unnoticed when you engage your imagination. You write because there is nothing in the world like the feeling you get when you finally finish that poem or short story. You write because it's fun. You write because you have to."
Anything else that describes a born writer? Post it here!

I don't know, but people have told me I'm a writer (same goes for my photography) because I can find anything to write (slash photogrph) and make it something beautiful, and eye-catching. They also have told me that I talk how I write.
I don't know if that's what you were looking for or not....lol but it's all I've got. =D

That's great, lol. I've been told that I talk like I write sometimes, too... I can't help it. Big words come naturally.

Thought I'd try to ressurect this, now that we're a little more active... Know anything that describes writers perfectly?

Umm... You're a writer when you don't say that you have nothing to write about, instead a writer has too much to write? I'm not sure. People who write constantly? Lol.

I like that. You're a writer when you have too much to write about. It's definitely true for me.

How about this: You know you're a writer when everyone else uses the workday in class to do homework, but you're writing your novel.

That's cool. I, personally, use class time to finish my homework so that when I get home I can just read and write. Lol.

Haha. I have to write when inspiration strikes me, or it's no good. So if a class conveniently has work time...

You know you're a writer when any little thing can set your mind off on a journey to another world.

You know you're a writer when your characters speak to you, even becoming so real in front of you you think you can touch them, and then you realize that it was actually your best friend.
