This is an odd place to post this, but since I'm here...
I'm going to be gone until August 10th. Family reunion in Indiana. So... yeah. Lol. I'll miss you! Don't give me TOO much to read when I get back (although I will expect some work on the stories to be done...). ;D

Guess who's back!
Well, I guess guessing isn't really neccessary.
That sounded odd.
Wow, I'm tired. Lol.

Beauty;; Just wanted to pop in and comment on your ideas. Of course, I have my own methods with getting ideas. Normally, I will get an idea by TV or the news (weird, yes. But so, so true). The current story I am writing is about a boy who was kidnapped while hanging out with a friend. A few years later, the friend decides to try and find the truth about his friend and the kidnapping case. Of course, this was inspired by the news and the kidnapping section... of course, I assume you all will be interested in how the story turns out. Unfortunately, my laptop is still in the midst of being broken and very stubborn (breaking ever 2-3 weeks). The part I need is supposed to be delivered soon, yet it is somewhere between where I am and Houston, Texas. The company is open after Ike, so they really have no reason for not sending it. But oh well. =/ Again, with the inspiration. Music is good, sometimes I branch off that. Other times, I look into my experiences. A breakup with a boyfriend, a friend betraying me, etc. I also look into my friend's and family's experiences. With those, I can sometimes get extremely fantastic ideas. Just thought I'd share with you all, because I have not had a chance to be active here =/. That should soon change for the better, I hope. Irish

It would be great if you could be active here, Irish. That's a good idea, getting stories from the news. Have you considered printing what you have and handwriting the rest? That way you can take it everywhere, like a laptop, and it's not so big. You don't have to worry about it crashing, either.

I actually have just considered it, sapphire. Because I had broken my right wrist, writing was a terrible thing for me. Typing was my only way of writing the story. But I will definitely consider it once the laptop is fixed. Until then, I will just have to be patient with writing. I am just jotting down a few ideas on my own. Since my cast has come off, I have wrote a few poems which I am excited to post here eventually. -digs out poem book-

Cool. Poems are good. Ouch, you broke your wrist? That must have been awful... I had a cast on my left arm for a bit (torn cartilege, not a broken bone), and that was torture. I really like writing in a notebook... It's not for everyone, but it's definitely my preferred method. Of course, that does mean that everything has to be typed up...

Yep. I will get to posting them within the week, if not then, hopefully soon if I am not too busy with October 4-H term (I shouldn't be). Poetry seems to be my new calling - I have found it is making me more eager to write that than novels, to be honest.
I broke my wrist about a month and a few weeks ago being bucked off a horse. I was actually bucked off twice, the second time did the charm. Ouch is right. I have also broken my left arm, which is not as bad as the right of course, but it is never a joy to break any bone, eh?

Yeah, casts are a pain. I've broken two fingers, but those only needed splints. An arm would be worse.
It's great that you seem to have found your "calling." Not all writers have to be novelists.

I am not sure it's my calling, but I was really inspired by the English classes Poetry units. Some of my friends made HILARIOUS haikus and tankas in class. One of them was about our English teacher jumping out of a closet to attack one of our friends in the class :x It's not a very violent haiku, it's quite funny. Though my friend happened to screw up the haiku a bit, it is still the most hilarious thing I've read in years. I recently wrote a sonnet on my calculator :x I am sure it is not something that is good at all - that sonnet is one of my worst and will probably not be posted.

If you don't mind, Irisharoma, I'd like to read the poem about your calculator. You don't have to though.
