I had to read that book this summer for my English class. It's by Emily Bronte if any of you were wondering.
Anyway, I was really surprised how well that book turned out, and I recommend it to anyone who likes twisted endings. It sort of reminded me of the Count of Monte Cristo, concerning the revenge and all, although the main character Heathcliff in this book is just sort of...insane.
Well, loved the book, and if you haven't read it, you should totally go out and check it out at your library today or something. xD It's a great book.

I'll try to explain it without giving it away. xD
Heathcliff was an orphan that someone found on the streets. So, he grew up in the household of this man (I can't exactly remember his last name.) The man who had other children grew to like Heathcliff and show favor upon him. So when he died, his son took over and soon wronged the young Heathcliff in many, many, terrible ways.
Heathcliff and Catherine (the daughter of the man and sister of the household owner) grow close. They're friends and such, getting into trouble. As time passes, a young gentleman caller comes upon Catherine. Linton soon proposes to Catherine, and while she is alone with a servant, Heathcliff hears her say that it would degrade her to marry him (Heathcliff).
Needless to say, Heathcliff is upset and she takes Linton's offer and gains social status.
From there everything spirals downwards. Heathcliff goes away but comes back in three years to get his revenge, which is most of the story. And ironically, Heathcliff does the same wrong to others as those who have wronged him. That's all I can really tell you without spoiling it. [/blockquote]
