But success nonetheless!
My studio class wrote short descriptions (one to two sentences) of three random objects: a white hinge thing, a coil of twine, and a roll of packing tape. The professor typed them up and we voted on the best ones... And I was in the top two all three times! I got first for the hinge and the tape. I'm so excited. I just had to tell you guys. This is the first time any class here has made me feel like a competent writer. ;D

It's nice to feel that way outside of our little bubble, too, though, you know? Not many people show much interest in my work, aside from here. So it was nice to be appreciated. Especially when they didn't know it was mine. All the voting was anonymous.
