I won't be writing anything yet. I want to try to plan this story out before I start writing. I'm so happy I can finally call her by her name!

Lol. Glad I could help you find a name to call her. Could you tell us the basic plot, at least? You have me curious now!

Well I don't want to give the whole story away but...
Rena's mother died when she was seven and her father died when she was thirteen. She never had a 'normal' childhood. The story is going to be from her point of view so I'm not going to tell you anything that she doesn't know because that'll spoil everything. Hehe. I already know a few secrets that Rena knows absolutely nothing about. ;D
Um, well, I'm not sure exactly what to tell you because I don't want to give anything away. Um, she's going to be rich because her father was a doctor and so she inherited all his money because she is an only child. Once her mother died her father completely shut himself out of the world so Rena was shut out as well. She does have distant family but she's never spoken to them and they are not going to be important at all. Basically, she's an orphan. But she doesn't go to an orphanage. She has a nanny who takes the place of her mother and who continues to take care of her for a long time. Not sure how long. I think the nanny may just stay with Rena her whole life basically.
Hmm, I should probably tell you that Rena is human. So except from the unusual childhood she's pretty normal. I'm thinking that Rena is going to work at either a library or a cafe. I'm leaning towards the library though because I thought of this scene that happens in a library and I thought it would be funny, but I probably won't end up writing it. Anyway, Rena goes to clubs. And I think that's where I'm going to stop.
Sorry that's not really a plot outline but I really don't want to give anything away.
Oh wait! I'm considering having her live in New York since there's lots of people there and um I'm going to say the police system is really bad too. I need to check on that though. Is the police security bad in New York, do you know?

Sounds cool so far. I'm not sure about police security... I would guess it would be very good, the city being so big, but I'm sure they can't keep track of everything... So people could think it's bad. You probably want to check a more credible source, though, lol.

Since the city is big they have a bigger police administration but with so many people it's a more likely target than some farm area. So there's probably some slips. Yeah, I think I'm going to have the setting in New York. It's basically perfect for Rena. I'm going to find names for her father, mother, nanny, and one police officer. Wow, I'm just looking at this site ( www.galactic-guide.com/articles/2R9.html ) and at the bottom it says that "New York is surpassed only by Washington DC and Dallas for its murder rate." New York is definitely the place.

Wow... Reading that article was a little scary... Maybe I'll go to Boston for college next year. *shudders*

Yeah, New York isn't on my top list of places to have a vacation. But that is where Rena shall live. Right smack dab in the middle of it. Hehe.
