Lol. Yeah, cool story.
But no way, Beauty! He's mine... Or I wish he was. Lol.
He's only interested in ultra-theater types. *sigh* We (his friends) have tried telling him over and over again that his ideal girl does not exist, but we just can't seem to get through to him. *shakes head*

Guys tend to be blind of what is right in front of them. Well, we are too, sometimes. Lol.

Lol. Yeah. This particular guy has already said he just wants to be friends with me, though, so I'm out of luck. Still, we ARE friends. That's a start.

I learned that the hard way. 'You don't know what you have till it's gone.'

Lol. I doubt he'll fall in love with me... Though he did promise to call me on my birthday, since we don't have school. Honestly, though, I've come to terms with being "just friends." It's okay with me. I care about him enough to just be his friend.

It's nice being just friends with a guy. There's no tension or uneasiness. You can just be yourself.

At my school, if your friends with a guy people automatically think you like them. It's stupid, but I let them think what they want.

Yeah, at least you know what they think isn't true.

saying that guys speak in short simple sentences couldn't be farther from the truth ;D genesis and i could vocabularize you lousy losers to the ground on wordcube on facebook, i got in the 99th percentile what are you grouchy girls smoking? guys are more than football and drinking beer deep down, they are really sensitive (look at genesis, after you strip away the morbidness)

Then show us that side of you. We can't know it's there if you never show us. There's often a serious communication lapse between guys and girls. Neither seems to really understand the other. (That's not to say that no one does... Some do.) And you and Genesis both write. That automatically gives you a bigger vocabulary. A lot of what has been said here has been stereotypical, I know.
Don't be too offended... And try not to offend back. Best to keep the peace around here, you know?

Well personally I don't nor do I ever want to drink beer, so that part of minntwinfan's statement is correct, but I totally end up falling to the football talk every once in a while. =P
I personally see the difference between guys and girls as less sharp than that, I think differences might be exaggerated. Some things you might want to note when writing from our perspective I would say is that guys communicate to deliver information first and foremost. Talking is less for the sake of being in a group with someone and more for the sake of giving advice or an answer. Also I've noticed we have a weird thing for the word "We". We use the word "We" to refer to some larger whole pretty often.

Thanks, Oracle. I think you're the first one to actually answer the question.
