Okay, so this started out as a roleplay character of mine that still has yet to be accepted. However, I figured that, since I really like her, why not make her a story, eh?

appearance
appearance
appearance; Perhaps her features were created so as not to be seen; to lie in a wake of mysterious sorrow until one such being could bring a passion about. Her tanned skin forms flawlessly around her slender body, and her expression is often overcast with an inexplicable gloom. A delicate face was bestowed upon her [seemingly as daintily intangible like the bristles of a feather], and the only light to be found appears to be her blue eyes of which are often softened by melancholy.
Her darkened hair is found, at every moment, hiding her left eye. Perhaps there is reasoning behind so, and perhaps there is not. But within said eye lay a cloudiness cast upon those that are sightless; to her benefit, it is only so in the left eye that remains unrevealed. She often looks beneath her, head bowed in a seemingly permanant nod whilst she gazes upon the terrain below.
It is an occurance of rarity that she ever meets a being eye to eye; rarer ever yet to view her as she reveals a smile. And, if one ever were to view said smile, it is often small and saddened, as if her being in its entire form was meant to be mysteriously sorrowful.
Her appearance is painted with the hues of her Native American heritage. Her blue eyes seem out of place on the darkly delicate face, yet it is unimaginable that they might be any other shade. She is rather far from a decent height; small, she is, instead. Her slim legs stand her at a mere 5'1"; her painfully slender body could be almost weightless at ninety-five pounds. But perhaps the silent she who blends in with the darkness of the night could be the one with the most character ...

personality
personality
personality; The personality of Ari can not be compared to that of any other being you desire to encounter, for she is original; one of her own.
Her emotions are often indistiguishable; vague; rarely able to be forseen by the beings present. She does not reveal the sentiments beneath her, no longer showing her emotions to the surroundings beyond. She is thought to be supercilious, self-swallowed in her own pride and devoured by her own arrogance. Her personality is considered poisonous ... and it is due to such reasoning that she is often forgotten.
This one longs for a being that will venture beneath her icy stare, beyond the seemingly nonexistant expressions that her features portray; for not far into such places lies an angered heart driven merely by fear. She has long been forced to cope with lonesome disappointment ... and she is terrorized by memories of depleating screams and whispers of death.
Ari desires something she cannot discover alone: a place in this world; the sense of warmth amongst a heart. It will take a remarkable being to realize that she possesses an extreme numbness that was forced upon her by fate itself ... this being has yet to come along. She cannot sense jubilance, devotion, or passion; those were taken away a time quite distant from the present. The only emotions that currently reside within her are melancholy, mistrust, anger, and the like.
She often feels weak, bringing herself to go off alone so as not to reveal this. Her eyes only ever appear to be sorrowfully full of longing and want for a thing that she cannot seem to find ... desire for a place that she cannot locate. It is want such as this that drives her to a saddened silence and miserable depression.
If a human that honestly cared would penetrate her endless gaze, said being would discover a flourishing personality just waiting to end its everlasting desire. Ari is capable of loving a man with passion ... but she is weary of giving her heart to anyone, for fear of having it shattered. With all the possibilities in this new place, perhaps that being will find her.
She expresses herself through her singing. Her voice sounds like one from heaven, but none have ever heard it. She conceals herself behind a veil of mysteriousness, pouring her heart and soul into the songs she writes. One of her greatest fears is ever having someone hear her singing ... but with all these people, that fear might just become a reality.

history
history
history; Her mother's appearance seemingly flowed into her; the replica of the elegantly dark looks of the idolized singer Leila Kaahn were always the attention grabber for young Ari. Her father, the famed songwriter Taaro Kaahn, was only another addition to her flawlessly famous heritage. But she was another story.
Ari was raised under the musical shadow of her parents, pressured to sing and thrown into the tangle of Hollywood. She grew up as America's child star, forced to sign with record companies in her teen years. She was raised as Milenka Kaahn, a beautiful young singer with the heritage to match. But beneath the outer covering of fame, she was meant to be someone else.
At the stroke of twenty years, she knew she had to find out just who that person was. She dropped the Hollywood glamor like a bomb, tossing her entire history into the wastebin. Her name faded away from the tabloids, seemingly as if she'd jumped off the face of the earth. And she pretty much had.
She changed her name to Ari Luuna Llahoka, fully adopting her Native American heritage with her new start. She unplugged all her contacts, including any friends and aquaintances. But when the tabloids began to follow her, waiting for Milenka Kaahn's reappearance, she fled for Hawaii.
Now, finding herself in the midst of this small-town tale, Ari finds herself at one with music again. But she knows she must keep her voice a secret if she ever intends to stay out of Hollywood again. She hides her identity, but there are always cases where it almost seems inevitable for someone not to know ... so who is she? Is this Milenka Kaahn, childhood star run away from the glamour? Is it Ari Luuna Llahoka, passionate songwriter washed into a sea of desire and melancholy? Or is it both?
Can the tropics of Hawaii bring her destiny to her, or will someone discover the truth before she has a chance to stop them? More importantly, how long until someone hears her singing down by the ocean? It is up to her to find out just who she is ... unless someone beats her to it. Who can you trust?
