Some of my favorite books are: Angela's Ashes and it's sequel 'Tis A Tree Grows in Brooklyn East of Eden Catch 22 Phantom-By Susan Kay-An excellent story for Phantom of the Opera lovers...it is out of print but you can still get it on Amazon.com My Sister's Keep and so many more! but those are just a few that you absolutely must read! oh, and one of my favorite series of books from when I was younger (middle school years) was Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging and all of its sequels (which are still being written today). It's a diary type book of a teenage British girl, so if you are looking for some good British humor I reccomend those.

Here's some good books that I loved.
The Red Pony -- John Steinbeck The Grapes of Wrath -- John Steinbeck Of Mice and Men -- John Steinbeck The Count of Monte Cristo -- Alexandre Dumas Maximum Ride -- James Patterson Wuthering Heights -- Emily Bronte The Scarlet Letter -- Nathaniel Hawthorn
Those are just a few, I have tons more but I have to find out the authors to them and then I'll post them. ^^ But most on this list are classic novels, excluding Maximum Ride; and all John Steinbeck novels I think are considered American Classic since they were written in the early/mid 1900's. But don't quote me on that. xD

My favorite books are anything by R. A. Salvatore or Brandon Sanderson. My favorites of those are:
The Dark Elf Trilogy (first book is Homeland) -- R. A. Salvatore Elantris -- Brandon Sanderson
If you're looking for fantasy, those are the authors to go to.

The difference between fiction and reality? Fiction has to make sense.

I agree with Sapphiresmoke that one of the best fantasy authors ever is Brandon Sanderson. My personal favorite of his is Mistborn. Elantris is amazing, and so are all his other books! Read them now! ;D

Anyone that loves poetry, Crank and Impulse are truly amazing books by Ellen Hopkins. I absolutely love them. They are stories, but they are written in verse. The have a TON of mature content in them, but its worth it. Crank is about drugs and Impulse is about rehab. She's also written a book called Burned which was about a girl in a Mormon family and she wasn't Mormon, and Glass, which is the sequel to Crank. Crank is personally my favorite but most people prefer Impulse. [shrugs] Here's the back to Impulse if you want a taste of what you're getting into (Warning: They are EXTREMELY addicting. You cannot put it down for the life of you) Wish you could turn off the questions, turn off the voices, turn off all sound. Yearn to close out the ugliness, close out the fithiness, close out all light. Long to cast away yesterday, cast away memory, cast away all jeopardy. Pray you could somehow stop the uncertainty, shomehow stop the loathing, somehow stop the pain. Act on your impulse, swallow the bottle, cut a little deeper, put the gun to your chest. * Ellen Hopkins, 2004. All right reserved.

One of my friends told me about Crank. She really liked it, too. I'm not sure it's the kind of book I'd like, but I may have to try it anyway, as it's been recommended by two people.

Phantom-By Susan Kay-An excellent story for Phantom of the Opera lovers...it is out of print but you can still get it on Amazon.com Oh my gosh, I have to get that! I LOVE the Phantom of the Opera! I sing it all the time, and I am learning how to play "The Music of the Night" on my violin. I name characters after the PTO too. One of my role playing characters is Notte, Italian for Night. The reason it's in Italian is because I have an Italian Greyhound on Horseland named Musica della Notte (Music of the Night in Italian), and I have grown accustomed to the name. Some books I recommend are... Cryptid Hunters Life As We Knew It Dragon Rider (somewhat boring in the beginning, but it gets MUCH better...trust me. ) Warriors (the original Warriors, not the new ones) and I had started writing a book at my friend's website, but I don't know what happened to the website! It just disappeared, and that's the only place I had it written down in. It was futuristic science fiction with a wolf as the main character, Ava.
