So, you might have seen me recently posting a little bit of my writing or commenting on other work. I figured it'd be nice to properly introduce myself and just to generally let you know a little about me. I go by the name of Waypoint on HL though my name is Tasha, short for Natasha. The name is russian though i am not. I'm actually from England. West Yorkshire to be more precise. I'm currently studying an undergraduate degree in Microbial Sciences (the really small bits of biology that require a microscope ). I'm a hippy. I LOVE wearing bright colours and tye-dyed items (many of which i dye myself.... including the t-shirt im wearing at the moment. The colour of my hair changes monthly. It's always blonde (though not naturally so) but is matched with a variety of colours. This month i chose purple. Last month was blue. Next month will hopefully be pink. I did 2 months of voluntary work in Greece saving turtles, so i'm officially a true rainbow warrior (local slang for animal activist/save the planet person). I do eat meat. I would die without bacon. I recycle though. And i adore reading sci fi and fantasy books / writing medieval fantasy based work.

OMG YOU WENT TO GREECE!?!?!? SOOOOOO JEALOUS!
Ha ha! Hello! My name on here is Ruger (of course) and it comes from my gun, a Ruger .22 Target Pistol and one of my Austrailian Shepard pups, Ruger Red Letters. (the other is Gunpowder Colt or Colt.) My name in real life, though, is Adrian Skylar-Nicole. It is Celtic and means cheerful. I am not Celtic, but very cheerful ^_^. As a matter-of-fact I am American, but I want to travle to GREECE, Spain, Italy, Africa, Turkey, Barzil, and so many other places too!
I think it is amazing that you study Microbial Sciences. My uncle dose also at the IU (Indiana Universty). We are constantly bringing him cultures of equine and cannine wounds from the vet clinc or stable I work/help out at.
On the subject of you writing, I am not sure if I have had the time to comment any lately, as I just got home from an out-of state trip with no internet, and then I stayed in the southern part of my home state, Indiana, for lmost a week. BUT I have read it, and frankly, I love it. Of course, everyone can improve. Just ask Saphiresmoke, I'm always over-punctuating my novels or what not, and My poetry hardly ever has rythm. =]
MY advice to you is ask yourself, "Am I, personally, happy with my writings?" If the answer is no, then no matter what others say, (Although it may give you a boost) You won't be satisfyied (Or atleast not as satisfiyed as if you were to enjoy it yourself.) Take time, read pleanty, and edit others work. Go throught the Thesaurus and Dictonary when needed, it has helpped me! I look forward to reading more of your work in the near future!
Oh, could you do me a favor and read some of my new post on Novels. It is called Survivng The Storm. Much appreciated!

I was actually going to Ruger, but i promised spahire that i'd critique her short story more closely so i've been chewing through that trying to find bits she can chop out. That's awesome about you uncle too If you're wanting to go to Greece, i say good on you. It's a wonderful place. It practically oozes with modern and ancient culture. If you're wanting a real taste of Greece, i'd advice seeing the pelopenese (probably spelled wrong). It's less tourist eaten so it's more... well... Greek? haha. I spent a month there and absolutely adored it. Everyone is so friendly. The food is spectacular too. I kept a couple of the recipes i learned over there About the critiquing Irish. It really is appreciated. And thankyou Ruger for your comments you wouldn't believe how long i pained over the roleplay intro to get it exactly how i wanted it. I think all that effort i put into it is what sparked my desire to continue it into a full blown novel. I'm tired of seeing it go to waste in roleplays that don't last.

Oh yes, of course, I really feel like scum due to the fact I am a horrible editor....=[ It is something I'm working on.
You say you have Greek recipes? Hmmm....I may have to ask for them haha!
And no problem on the comments. You seem like a nice person, so I don't mind in theleast. ^_^

aww *hugs* Don't worry about it. I always feel guilty when getting down to the nitty-gritty of sentence structure. It was well ingrained into my system by my highschool English teacher (who was quirky as you like yet absolutely wonderful when it came for teaching the subject) and hasn't left me since. I really have to hold myself back or I can see myself being labelled as mean And no problem on the recipes. the easiest and best have to be Tzatziki and simple lemon pork. It was my main diet out there, haha. Aside from the beautiful meaty stews they have.

Thanks, Shaphiresmoke has been a tru blessing haha. She crituque my work since day on, commenting on parts and criticizing on others. She even was there when I was going through a horrible time with my ex. (Boyfriend and Bestfriend) It was horrible, all my friends (except two) were siding with him and spreading rumors about me, and here is Saphiresmoke, offering her assistance in any way possible. So I vented to her, and she commented when necassary. As I said, a real blessing. I really hope she wins this contest....that would be truly amazing. I absolutley love to cook, and My friend's husband is from Greece, but they moved to Arizona before I could snatch a recipe or two =[. So I mainly cook Italian Arrachini is simply delicious and easy. ^_^. I make many chicken dishes too. I will have to look those two up sometime. =D Oh, and I am going to Greece for my personal senior trip, seeing how I am home-schooled. I have 3 friends who want to go and two adult friends who wish to come also. My senior years seems so far away in that aspect though. And yet, so close in the more frightning ways such as colleges and what not.

Oh goodness. It's terrible when things like that happens. I suppose that's why i never really had many male friends. Up until now that is. The idea of beginning to date a close friend and then falling out is somewhat frightening. I hope those problems are resolved That's excellent news about your planned trip to Greece. And really, don't worry about upcoming years. You wouldn't believe how natural it feels to change from one situation to the next. I'd only been at college for a week before i felt like i'd been there for years. The same for university. Despite this, i still feel as though there are some pretty deluded people out there. I'm still so young, how can i possibly studying for my degree already? Goodness. I turn 20 next year yet i still feel like a 13 year old at times *chuckle* you have no idea how jealous i am about your cooking. I adore italian yet everything i cook goes wrong. I have to stick to the simplest of recipes or everything goes wrong *chuckle*. I once cooked a full English breakfast for my mam on mother's day. Unfortunately my timing was *cough* somewhat out.... She ended up eating it in stages.... bacon first.... then beans... then sauages... then her egg *chuckle*. They all finished at different times and i couldn't leave them to stay warm or they'd burn *giggle*.

Well, the situation was never really resolved. And I am deeply in love with my bestfriend. I know it seems odd to use the term love at such a young age, but if I don't hear from him at legths at a time I go into a semi-depression and my blue eyes turn grey. [no joke]. And we have so much in common. We both love classic rock. (Def Leppard, Aerosmith, Kiss, AC/DC, and so on.) and we agree on practicuauly everything. He feels the same as I do but he's threes years older than me. We decided to hold off and be friends so that when we are together it means something. ^_^
And I have been told that about the future before, but it's still slightly frightening you know? I mean the unknown. I want to be an Equine Chiroprachtor . You see, I come from avery small town in a very "small" state.(as in not well-known). Everything is simple, and I'll be the first in my family to go to college with the exception of my Father going to Mechanics school in Ohio...
I'm sorry about your cooking! =] I want to open a estraunt someday too. [yes, Equine Chiropractor and Restraunt owner....big dreams. haha] I cook for the hired help around here and at the stable I work and train at. So, I have lots of practice. =] I used to not be able to make macoroni and cheese from a box..haha

*huggles* I fell head over heels for a guy over the internet (stranger things have happened). We're in a pickle now though. We've been dating for over a year now, and desperately want to move in together but he lives over 4 and a half hours away by train. We see each other 2 or 3 times a month but... It's not really enough. We're having to wait until September and then he can move down. I really don't know what i'd have done without him. I went through a really messy split with my Ex that tore me apart. I think it's sweet that you're holding off And love strikes at any time. Just sometimes it levels you with a punch as it leaves... As for my cooking. My fella's is even worse than mine so no worries there, haha. I made him beans on toast and he went as far as to say it was a delicious meal. My exact reaction being... o_0 it was beans on toast? and i microwaved it?

That is so sweet. I am sincerly happy for you! Yes, I met someone over the internet also, and we became close friends only to discover that we were friends when we were younger. His name is Chris. You should have seen our faces when we both showed up at KC's (My friend, and his cousin) birthday party. Since then we have been joined at the hip. Ty (well his name is Tyler and he's the young man I'm in love with) well anways, he doesn't like Chris. haha. Well that's good that he liked your food! I've never had beans and toast, but I have been told by Cecilia (another friend, you spent a semester in England) that it was pretty good.

*smiles* Yeah. I consider myself very lucky indeed to have him. And it's amazing how small a world it can be. A similar thing happened to my friend Charlotte. She'd been talking to someone online for months... then found out that he'd gone to our highschool and that she knew his younger brother, haha.
Unfortunately IRL he turned out to be a real [insert curse-word here]. He doesn't bath and regularly goes out with dirty clothes (once with dog turd smeared on the back of his hoodie o_0). Suffice to say... his nickname of Dog-Turd Darren was well earned. I've never met a more repulsive person. His personality matches his appearance. He's obnoxious and an egotist and i positively hated him.

Ok, now i definately am feeling my mean streak My 'best' friend is highschool tried to destroy me by spreading rumours that i was a [look away now kids] very *friendly* person. Real best friend she was. I systematically shut down all of her circles of friends. I cut her out of mine (all the friends she had met through me), i cut her out of the popular group (my friend Liz helped with that. She was one of the main folks in that group and i've known her since i was a babe), i shut her out of the hard-girl group. They took personal offense at someone who lost their virginity at the legal age being called 'very *friendly* personty'. Especially since most of them had lost theirs long before then. I left her with the outcasts and the rest of the backstabbers. They positively deserved each other.
