This is a fantasy/horse RP, in which each human is bonded to a horse at birth. There is no horse without a human, and there is no human without a horse. Once bonded, the horse and human can talk to each other through their thoughts. The bond lengthens the life of each horse, so that they live as long as the humans if they don't get hurt or sick.
As for the plot, it will grow as we write.
Rules: 1) Each RP member can have only two characters. You may be your human and your horse, two horses, or two humans. If you want to be only one character, you must find someone who is willing to be your horse/human. If you need to, you can add a random side character (say, a shopkeeper that your character needs to buy something from), but don't name them or play them... Just mention them as needed.
2) You may not kill anyone without their permission.
3) Do not play anyone else's character.
4) You must put your character name in your signature on the forum so that we all know who's supposed to be talking. If you want, you can also put whether you are a human or a horse.
If you want to join, post about your character here. We'll start as soon as we have enough people.

The sunset danced off the white walls of the Ravenport. The prestine city was outshone by only the reflections of the sunbeams off the waters of the ocean. Ravenport was the largest port on the northwestern coast. The sheer size of it was daunting, though since it was late autumn it was much quieter than it was normally. Destry sat astride his gypsey vanner stallion Gitano. The large paint wore no saddle and only a rope halter guided him. The pair stood in the shadow of the trees, facing toward the city walls. "What do you think, Gitano?" Destry said aloud to his mount. "Do we go in?" "I don't know," Destry heard Gitano's voice clearly in his mind as if he had spoken. "That choice was always yours." "This is the place, right?" Destry wondered aloud. "I believe so," Gitano. "Then what choice do we have?" The pair made for the city gates.

Bathed in the soft, red light of sunset, Raewyn shivered slightly in the autumn breeze. Pulling her threadbare jacket closer around her, she leaned into the dark shape beside her.
You should buy a better coat, Tadita scolded her, the voice sounding inside Raewyn's mind. Stop spending so much of the money you have on me and take care of yourself.
"You're important," Raewyn told the black mare.
Tadita snorted and stamped a hoof. Raewyn moved her weight off the horse, turning to look her in the eye.
Brushing aside a strand of auburn hair that had escaped her braid, she looked into Tadita's warm, brown eyes.
"I take care of myself," she told the horse.
Tadita shook her head. Not well enough.
"Tadi, I'm fine," Raewyn insisted. "But it is cold. And it's getting late. I'll see you in the morning, okay?"
All right. Good night, little one.
Impulsively, Raewyn hugged Tadita tightly around the neck. "Good night," she said softly.
Sleep well, the mare replied.
Stroking Tadita's cheek one last time, Raewyn turned from the stall and made her way out of the Stable Block. Walking down the now-dark cobblestone streets, she glanced up at the grand manor houses atop the hill. Owned by the rich of the city, each had its own attached stable for the horses of those wealthy. Raewyn had to sleep several blocks from Tadita's stall in the Stable Block. Preoccupied, she failed to notice the horse and rider bearing down on her.

Destry fell roughly onto Gitano's powerful neck as the stallion skidded to an abrupt halt. "Gitano, what was that for?" Destry asked exasperatedly. "Maybe you should keep your eyes open, lad," Gitano said comtemptuously. Destry looked over Gitano's shoulder and saw a girl standing shocked a few paces away. Embarrassment flooded him and he swung off Gitano's back. He strode quickly over to the girl. "Forgive me," he said. "I didn't see you."

Raewyn stopped short, heart suddenly pounding, as the Gypsy Vanner pulled up only a few paces away. She studied the horse's tall rider as the boy dismounted and walked toward her. He looked ragged, as though he'd been traveling.
"Forgive me. I didn't see you."
The voice startled her, although it shouldn't have. Who wouldn't apologize after nearly running someone down? Except a lord, she thought bitterly. Lords never apologize for anything. Not to the common folk, at least.
"Maybe you should pay attention, then," she snapped, surprising herself with her own anger.

"I'm sorry, miss," he said, bowing to her mockingly, "I tend to think that a person's own self-preservation skills would cause a person to move out of the way of a galloping horse. The rider's attention means nothing." "Watch your mouth," Gitano's voice sounded a reprimand in his head. "Oh, be quiet," he thought back, not saying the words aloud.

Raewyn made a disgusted sound, then sighed.
"Sorry. You surprised me," she said grudgingly.
Raewyn, are you all right?
She heard Tadita's sleepy but concerned voice in her thoughts. Although the mare couldn't see what was happening or hear the conversation, she could sense when there was something wrong with her rider.
I'm fine, Tadi. Go back to sleep, Raewyn replied silently.

Destry was momentarilly off guard. He hadn't expected the firey girl to back down so easily.
"Appology accepted," he said, regaining his forced formality, "Will you accept mine."
So I can get out of here... He thought to himself
Gitano snorted, So gentlemanly. How nice.

"Apology accepted," Raewyn said stiffly.
What's happening? Tadita demanded, slightly more awake.
Nothing, Tadi. It's fine, Raewyn replied.
She turned from the boy rather abruptly, more sharply than she'd intended to.

Without a word, Destry turned back to Gitano and swung back onto the horse's bare back.
Come on, Gitano. We still have to find a place to stay the night.

Shaking her head, Raewyn continued walking toward her house, or rather shack.
Raewyn, tell me what is happening right now, or I swear I will break down the stall door and come find out myself! Tadita demanded.
And make me pay for its repair? Raewyn asked sweetly. She heard the mare's frustrated snort through their connection. Honestly, it's fine, Tadi. This idiot boy almost ran me down in the street, but he's gone now.
Are you hurt, little one? Tadita asked, voice alarmed.
No, I'm fine. Go back to sleep, Tadi. Raewyn told the mare. When Tadita didn't answer, she added, Good night.
